Over the last 20 years Rapid Prototyping Services have morphed for many into the term 3D Printing. The force of change that many envisioned was going to be driven by materials. Markforged has created a new path with usable, testable, "real" materials designed for the composite world. Accuracy, strength and usability are the mark for the parts their technology provides.

Imagine parts that you design that are "27X stiffer than 3D printed ABS"

The Mark Two provides a pathway for you to go from 3D solids to highly accurate usable parts in a relatively short time. This is done through Markforged's unique continuous carbon fiber reinforcement process.

We offer a choice of material options while removing the time involved for placing the parts you fabricate from the printer into the workplace in the proper material.

Our Markforged Two industrial 3D printer service has the goal for providing precision parts. Our machines are composed of unibody aluminum construction, similar to precision machining centers. The Mark Two technology creates 3D printed parts with incredible strength from carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar® for:

  • Functional prototyping
  • Custom end-use production parts
  • Structural parts
  • Jigs, fixtures, and other tooling

The Mark Two parts use a patented Continuous Filament Fabrication (CFF) process to reinforce 3D printed nylon parts with automatically contoured and optimized tool paths of continuous strand carbon fiber, Kevlar, and fiberglass. Utilizing a dual head system with a CFF print head and an FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) extrusion head, the Mark Two can create astonishingly robust parts by leveraging the properties of composite materials with a higher strength-to-weight ratio than 6061-T6 Aluminum

The incredible strength of carbon fiber comes from the long, continuous strands that carry load down the entire part. This is why space shuttles, rockets, and Formula 1 cars are constructed from continuous strand carbon, and it's how we print.

We don't just focus on the hardware; we also offer high quality, strong materials, with no fluid waste:

  • Carbon Fiber – highest strength-to-weight
  • Kevlar – highest abrasion resistance
  • Fiberglass – highest strength-to-cost
  • Nylon – tough engineering plastic
  • High Temperature Fiberglass – ideal for automotive, aerospace, and other industries that need material with a higher temperature deflection point
